"I Love to Make People Feel Beautiful " - Brenda Cooper

A highlight of L.A. Fashion Week was interviewing charming and inspiring Brenda Cooper, model, Emmy-winning costume designer, and stylist to the stars.

Following a successful modeling career, Cooper parlayed her costume design into high-profile characters, most notably receiving an Emmy for her work on The Nanny . She parlayed her stylist background into her recognizable role as co-host of E! Fashion Emergency , one of the first makeover programs. Her genuine nature in working with her clientele shows in her down-to-earth sense of humor.   When asked for a spontaneous interview, true to her impeccable fashionista self, she jokingly obliged, "Do I look reasonable?"

"L.A. Fashion Week is very different from any other . . . from London, Paris, New York. I love the energy of L.A. fashion. I'm here, casually, for the shows. I'm looking forward to seeing Sue Wong. I absolutely love her. I've always been a fan," said Cooper.

Regarding her career in designing, "I love fashion. It's my absolute passion. I love to make people look beautiful. I love to make people feel beautiful. I want people to be the best that they can be and for me, that's starting from the outside in to build a positive self-image. When I see someone confident, happy, and able to take risks in life, then my work is done!"

Brenda Cooper was born in England. Her sense of fitted classics with risk-taking patterns and flair earned her clients such as Faye Dunaway , Delta Burke , Fran Drescher , and Twiggy . After spanning cosmopolitan meccas, Cooper is based in L.A., where she and her husband raise their two sons. Happy, radiant, and confident, Barbara Cooper continues to glow on the fashion scene.
