EM and Co is a trendy Los Angeles boutique located near Farmer’s Market. The owner, Eveline Morel, does her best to support local talent, and quite frequently, there is either a trunk show, gallery showing, or some other fashion-related event showcasing up-and-coming talent. As part of Fashion Week, the collections Ventidue (Barbara Rosin) and Queenie4Ever (Tatiana McLane) were featured for the evening.
Queenie 4 Ever Spring 2010 collection consisted mostly of floral print dresses with a Victorian feel, and t-shirts. The hit of the evening was a pink princess-style dress with black lace with a pink taffeta bow. Tatiana wore one of her designs topped off with her signature tiara as she followed the train of models after her show.
The leather line Ventidue showed later that evening. Originally from Verona, Italy, the designer, Barbra Rosin, learned to design with leather by being around it her entire life. She uses lamb, which is a very soft, very pliable leather. Her newest collection consisted of a black dress with a leather hem, black suede short shorts, an assortment of rock n’ roll-esque purses with stitching and metal spikes. Her leather metallic leggings were just as unexpected as the red leather pleated skirt . . . all big trendsetters. However, the red leather trench with black buttons was my favorite piece in the collection.
Both shows were styled by Dalit Gwenna, and the jewelry was provided by Helles Paris.
Agenda Magazine was a media sponsor for the event, which was hosted by Kimberly Cole and streamed live to 4 million people.
