From the early 1990s on, a health and fitness craze has swept across the United States and around the world. Both young and old – male and female – are more concerned with good health and quality of life than ever before. And yet, health-related problems and obesity continue to grow among folks of all ages. Author and doctor Naheed Ali tackles these issues in his new book titled “Are You Fit to Live?”
Dr. Ali’s book focuses on life-changing antidotes to help readers live a healthier, more fulfilling life.
“The book reveals how the world we live in tends to breed stress, and how pollution of the body as well as the mind of a person can harm him in more ways than one,” states Dr. Ali.
According to Dr. Ali, deteriorating health (whether physical or mental) can have a negative snowball effect in a person’s life. It begins an endless cycle of burdens because the health issues often require medical attention, and the tremendous expense of medical care causes even more stress. Stress in itself can manifest as health issues…and so the cycle continues. In his book, Dr. Ali addresses these issues and provides guidelines for healthy living. The author explains how four basic factors – the mind, sleep, heart problems and daily diet – affect an individual’s general health. He also exposes medical ailments that are caused by
faulty health practices. The book exemplifies the importance of developing a healthy mindset for one’s self, and even for parents to help their young children “think healthy” as well.
“Are You Fit to Live?” presents detailed information, interpreted on the experiences of Dr. Ali. “The aim is to promote healthy lifestyle across the world through this medical guide book. The information presented in this 300-page book is written in simple language for the ordinary man, devoid of medical jargon,” observes Dr. Ali.
Dr. Ali insists that an unhealthy mind, often due to some sort of emotional crisis, eventually manifests itself in a physical ailment. Symptoms such as sleep disorders can lead to other physical complications. “Are You Fit to Live?” helps the reader identify potential irregularities in sleep patterns, diet and mindset and combat these symptoms once identified. The author is a firm believer in the adage, “Prevention is better than cure.”
About the Author: Born in Bangladesh, Naheed Ali moved to the United States as a child and has lived in a number of places since. He started writing at only six years of age. He received a Biology degree from Adelphi University and earned his medical degree in 2008. Dr. Ali’s books aim to help health fans who are seeking truly life-changing advice versus the often shallow recommendations by those seeking only fame in the mainstream media while exploiting the weaknesses of others.
