  • I Just saw an interesting movie starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Laurence Fishburne, and Matt Damon called Contagion. The film was about a viral outbreak killing millions put out by filmmaker Steven Soderbergh. Jude Law’s character was a blogger and he proved out right that most people are easily manipulated and will believe almost anything they read or see online. That brings me to the point of this article. A blogger made headlines again. No big surprise there, but he proved that expensive TSA Nude Body Scanners don’t work efficiently enough and the entire technology was a waste of money.

It is the one consistent award show that meets every standard of excellence it dolls out to its winners. One can argue that its choices are questionable. Maybe the Best Actor award should have gone to somebody else; or the choice for Best Editing is arguable.

It’s hard to believe that in this day and age, we’re still faced with the threat of execution if we don’t conform to somebody else’s religious beliefs; but yet, we are. Iranian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is scheduled for execution for not renouncing his Christian beliefs.
