2011: The Best in BeautyBy Shahada Karim | December 6th, 2011 | Category: Beauty | No Comments »
It’s been quite a year! One of the biggest highlights was, undoubtedly, joining the team here at Agenda Magazine. It has been an honor and an adventure, and I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world.
This year, I’ve been able to see . . . touch . . . test . . . and rate some of the most coveted and respected beauty brands from all over the world. Here are my top choices for 2011.
Shampoo: Keihl’s Superbly Smoothing Argan Shampoo. This shampoo is so moisturizing that you can literally comb it through like a conditioner.
Conditioner: Philip B White Truffle Conditioner. Comprised mainly of natural oils and botanicals, this conditioner relaxes every tangle, and rinses clean.
Deep Conditioner: Philip B Katira Mask. It behaves like a gel, but fortifies the hair from the inside out, leaving it stronger with every application.
Bonus: Huetiful Hair Steamer. 20 minutes under the steamer = overnight deep conditioning. It’s a luxurious and time-saving way to get salon quality pampering at home.
Shower Gel: Jo Malone Shower Gel in Orange Blossom. The scent of this rich gel literally “surrounds” you as it reacts to hot water and steam.
Moisturizer: Diptique Voile Satin (Satin Oil for Body & Hair). We love the fact that you can use this beautifully scented dry oil from head to toe.
Perfume: Eau de Soir (Sisley). There’s nothing quite like this complex scent. It smells fresh and vintage all at once.
Night Moisturizer: Sisleya Global Anti-Age Cream. This ultra rich cream is packed with a ton of anti-ageing ingredients. It’s especially compatible with acne prone skin, thanks to a healthy dose of Vitamin A.
Eye Cream: Zelens Triple Action Eye Cream. The gel formula absorbs quickly, but moisturizes like a rich cream.
Bonus: Clarisonic Mia. This little device boosts every portion of your skin care regimen by prepping the skin for maximum absorption.
