In Agenda’s November issue I briefly told you about Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series, seven books published between 1991 and 2009, with the eighth and final in the series due out sometime in 2013. Since I started this series in September of last year, 2011, having been introduced to it when visiting my sister, I have not been able to put it down.

Spring always brings with it lighter and brighter colors. Well, this Spring 2012 is no different when it comes to Diane Von Fustenberg’s new line; except that she presented a taste of old Hollywood, reminiscent of Grace Kelly’s style and hints of Givenchy 40 years ago with a bold set of prints, and I simply loved every piece!

Like elegant swans, the models practically floated above the runway to the ever-so-fitting music, Ravel’s Bolero. Chado Ralph Rucci’s Spring 2012 runway show can be described only as visually breathtaking.

Held at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher’s Hall, Made in Africa: Arise showcased Africa’s most talented designers. The show was spectacularly large, milking every bit of production value the venue had to offer.
