“Spring Transcendent” – Sue Wong 2013 Runway Show

Mix together Emerson, Thoreau, the Conga Room, taiko drums, the 3D Film Festival, cocktails.  Sprinkle it with a liberal dose of celebrities, and serve it up in the showbiz capital of the world.  What do you get?  The Sue Wong Spring 2013 runway show.  It was a  stunning succession of 73 looks. Each dazzling with the intricate detail that has become Sue Wong’s trademark.  Titled “Spring Transcendent,” the collection featured long and short dresses, and gowns embellished with fine beading and embroidery, all painstakingly detailed.   Another nice detail:  The two male models wearing tuxedos and standing on each side of the runway, lending their arm to help the models gracefully negotiate the step down.

In regards to color, pastels dominated, but there was enough to please everyone, including a peacock-blue group, as well as some coral and fuchsia pieces.  The non-beaded, pleated and draped chiffon pieces presented a fresh, streamline take on an array of styles that will grace many a red carpet in the coming months.
