Josie Natori Spring 2013 RTW

Filipino Designer Josie Cruz Natori sort of “fell into” fashion designing.  Originally she started out as a pianist in the Manila Philharmonic, then worked for Merrill Lynch as the first female Vice President of investment banking.  Natori later tried her hand at several entrepreneurial pursuits and eventually ended up as a fashion designer. The colorful history and folklore of the Philippines of Natori’s youth is what inspired her Spring 2013 RTW collection, which is filled with colorful prints and vivid crayon colors. The models wore a vibrant flower in their hair to complement the look.  Maintaining an Island feel, these pieces had an essence of class.  Check out the Josie Natori Spring 2013 presentation held at the EZ Studios during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York.
