What: Oral Supplement
You know those “supplements” that claim to cure everything from the common cold to poverty? This is one of those supplements. But before you judge (like we did), take a look at what this particular mix claims to offer.
What’s inside: Virgin Raw Proprietary Blend; Raw Honey (California), Organic Domestic Bee Pollen, Propolis, Royal Jelly (4:1 powder extract), Organic Raw Maca *, Raw Chlorella, Organic Raw Spirulina *, Raw Goji Berries, Organic American Panax Ginseng*, Reishi Mushroom (GanodermaLucidum), Schisandra Berry ( Chinensis), Shilajit, Cordyceps Mushroom, Organic Astragalus Root ( Membranaceus )*, Organic Ashwaganda Root (WithaniaSomnifera ) *, Organic Ginger ( ZingiberOfficinale ) *, Four-Strain Probiotics, Organic Cinnamon (CinnamomumBurmanii ) *, Cayenne Pepper, Himalayan Sea Salt.
We were instructed to take one teaspoon every morning on an empty stomach for 30 days. But it took less than 30 minutes to feel the effect of this strange (and surprisingly pleasant tasting) mixture. It tastes more like chocolate cake batter than a super-food mixture, which is a plus for anyone disinterested in acquiring a taste for healthy things.
The first effect of this mixture is that it is immediately filling, which might explain why it needs to be taken on an empty stomach. That leads to a bit of clarity (which might just be the side effect of satisfying hunger) and a nice boost of energy. Over time, we found that this mix did away with daily morning cravings like a shot of caffeine via coffee or caffeinated tea.
We also found that a teaspoon (beyond the morning edition) was just enough to curb cravings for everything from chocolate to chips. It also gave us enough energy to sustain a workout and worked great as a recovery supplement.
Thirty days later we can confidently say that we’re believers. There have been no bouts of sickness—even as temperatures drop, and that distinct autumn/winter chill sets in—and we’ve felt nothing less than at the top of our game since the first teaspoon.
