San Francisco designer Sarah Ahn showed Spring/Summer 2013, at Concept Studios. Structured jackets and tops with very strong lines contrasted with light, flowing long dresses. Fabric bands providing structure to garments were a common thread throughout.

Our inspiration comes from a fascination with armored costumes, and desire to always create clothes that represent a strong and unique woman. Also, the infinity of influences nurturing our creative process gave rise to a look that recalls to us a retro sci-fi film from the 1960s. Silhouette inspirations from the 1950s pin-up era and a few freer and more airy A-shape cuts from the 1960s were also part of our inspiration for this season’s silhouettes.

Mix together Emerson, Thoreau, the Conga Room, taiko drums, the 3D Film Festival, cocktails. Sprinkle it with a liberal dose of celebrities, and serve it up in the showbiz capital of the world. What do you get? The Sue Wong Spring 2013 runway show.

With fringed over-sized tanks, a nice combination of pastels (sky blue) and prints, Altuzarra’s Spring 2013 collection had a lot to offer on the runway in New York during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Sally LaPointe’s Spring 2013 Ready-to-Wear collection was one of structure and flow. The well-constructed pieces incorporated styles of geometric influences with the fluidity of chiffon draping, as well as other similar fabrics.

EDUN Spring/Summer 2013 had a nice array of cargo pants with a little shine and sheer prints, crocheted patterns, jacquard dresses paired with utilitarian outerwear, and patch work with hand drawn and etched florals.

Daisy Fuentes’ Spring 2013 collection during New York Fashion Week was clear in its theme: Bohemian, sexy, and siren, just like Daisy Fuentes. So it’s no surprise that the inspiration was Daisy Fuentes herself and the gypsy movement, giving the strong presence of “sexy.”

With Halloween right around the corner, Faux Real is a “real” find for those who want to get in the swing of things right away. T-shirt styles ranging from country bumpkins to tattooed motorcycle drivers to lingerie models to gas pumpers.

Based upon the above quote, it’s no wonder when looking at the Aqua Di Lara™ line one can see the many influences. In 2007, Sofraci was honored with the award “Fashion Designer of the Year” by Institut de Design Montréal. This award-winner designer recently showed her newest collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim 2013.

The Fall 2012 L’Une Presentation was displayed outside in the courtyard of Vibiana during Style Fashion Week LA. This presentation was the Mid-Summer’s Night Dream of the fashion lineup for that evening.
