Your designs are very sweet, with a nice array of colors.  Just perfect for spring and romance.  How did you come up with your color choices?

Nally & Millie has always been known for its colors and prints. I constantly aspire to conceive special shades or unusual color combinations to evoke that sense of fun that is often lacking in fashion.

Tell us about your line and what inspired your current collection.

The current collection is a further exploration of themes I started in developing easy, no-fuss dressing that works across different ages, social classes, from day to evening, while remaining exceptionally stylish!

Do you have any designers you look to for inspiration?

I’ve always admired the work of designers like Stella McCartney and Donna Karan, who create sophisticated yet modern women’s wear. While I make it a point for Nally & Millie to stand completely on its own merit, there is a kinship in how we all design to enhance the lives of women everywhere.

What have been the highs as a designer?  Any Lows?

As a designer you can’t experience a more fulfilling sense of accomplishment than seeing your designs come to life and worn by your customers. It’s why I design—to create beauty and function that achieves their purpose in the lives of our customers.

What advice would you give to an aspiring designer?

It’s such a tough climate right now for any designer, aspiring or otherwise. The only advice I can give is to believe in what you’re doing and keep working at your craft as a tangible expression of creativity.

If you could describe yourself in one or two sentences, what would you say?

I am constantly on the go and invariably follow a hectic schedule, and this translates into how Nally & Millie addresses the need for uncomplicated fashions that fulfill multiple functions.

Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?

Doing exactly what I’m doing now.
