Julienne Johnson’s latest body of work, “Touch Me, Touch You,” that opened at TAG Gallery on July 17, 2011, revolves around the idea of Connection, as the central theme: her direct connection to the canvas as she paints with her hands; the connection of the works to her life story (past, present, and future); and our connection to each other as part of a multi-cultural, global community, in a world where casual interactions made possible by technology impart a false sense of connection.

I started Ghettogloss because I needed to have a studio for myself to work out of, but also because I wanted to put quality cutting edge art in movies, TV, and commercials. By cutting edge, I mean street art, graffiti, art that was pushing boundaries.

Our August/September 2012 Face of the Month, Lauren Caster, grew up on the beaches and deserts of California—“the best of both worlds,” she remarks. Now living in Los Angeles, she recently met Ash Gupta and the talented group at 838 Media.

Based upon the above quote, it’s no wonder when looking at the Aqua Di Lara™ line one can see the many influences. In 2007, Sofraci was honored with the award “Fashion Designer of the Year” by Institut de Design Montréal. This award-winner designer recently showed her newest collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim 2013.

The Fall 2012 L’Une Presentation was displayed outside in the courtyard of Vibiana during Style Fashion Week LA. This presentation was the Mid-Summer’s Night Dream of the fashion lineup for that evening.
