Paris Georgia Runway happened just over a year ago, debuting their first collection during New Zealand Fashion Week in Auckland on August 28, 2019. The ready-to-wear line combines the talents of designers Paris Mitchell and Georgia Cherrie whose inspirations appeal to retro-90s sensibilities.

Mercedes Benz Presents Paris Georgia - Runway - New Zealand Fashion Week 2019

In getting back to the business of fashion runway, a huge part of Agenda’s DNA, Paris Georgia pays homage to a decade that embraced metallic textiles, boot cut pants, maxi coats and skirts, and floppy hats.

Knowing our fashion history helps to understand their essence, as well as the direction of their theme, which also modernized the bias cut, evidenced by the satin skirts and dresses.

Paris Georgia is a fun, retro collection with well-constructed pieces embodying the 90s era.  I really appreciated the feminine touches, billowy sleeves  and careful styling.  This collection definitely makes a statement.

I’m curious to see how it will evolve with Paris Mitchell and Georgia Cherrie’s next line . . . once the world’s fashion stages return.
