Fragrance, like art, can have more than just an immediate effect on a primary sense. The best blends conjure memories or overall feelings of wellness. Molton Brown has been committed to making the most of fragrance for decades, and its latest offering of Jasmine & Sun Rose champions that commitment with a blend that is sweet, airy and grounded all at once, and a perfect introduction to the Autumn season.

Inspired by the Nile Delta and Summer’s last blush on the Egyptian landscape, the minds behind this blend of Royal Jasmine blooms, Rose petals and exotic musk first laid out the scents in the physical manifestation of paint. Shades of pale and medium pink, soft blues, beige and shimmering gold were swirled to create a ‘feeling’ for the scent. Then it was formulated to evolve in layers on the skin: first a sharp note of fruit, then a wash of florals, then a final reveal of patchouli and musk.

The collection features a bath oil,  body wash, body lotion and eau de toilette. Each product is potent enough to be worn alone. The fragrance lingers on the skin long after the bathing ritual concludes, but there is always the option to layer for a lasting impression.
