This issue heavily features content that raises awareness about the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our cover is part of an image retrospective of top models, wearing high fashion masks and gloves with couture designs – a compilation taken from a series of Ty-Ron Mayes’s fashion shoots throughout the years.  As a recent addition to Agenda, Ty-Ron curates The Fashion Whisperer with a Public Service Announcement and editorial titled GENERATION QUARANTINE!

Beauty editor Shahada Karim shows us how to maintain a beauty routine in the midst of COVID-19 with “Beauty & the Pandemic.”  Other beauty articles are “Skin Science: Growth Factor” with advice from esthetician Jennifer Christie; and Shahada’s review of black leggings from the activewear brands Niyami Sol, LNDR, and Carbon 38 in Fitness Couture’s “The Perfect Pair.”  Melanie Wise of Wise Remedies interviews a registered nurse in “Dialing Down Hysteria.”  While In the trenches, this RN is treating patients with the coronavirus.  This Q&A is filled with lifesaving advice.

Book reviews are back in Agenda, and Zac Baldwin critiques the The Silent Corner (Dean Koontz), The Cutting Edge (Jeffrey Deaver), and A String of Beads (Thomas Perry).  Sheryl Aronson of Arting Around interviews seven screenwriters from WGAW’s Behind the Screen:  Adam Mervis (21 Bridges), Scott Alexander (Dolemite Is My Name), Andy Callahan (Inside Game), Andrew Lanham (Just Mercy), Lorene Scarfaria (Hustlers), and Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly (Like A Boss).  We also spotlight self-portraits from the exhibit Eye to I from the National Portrait Gallery at the Boca Raton Museum of Art.

In Fashion Talk, “Art Deco Fashion:  The Age of Elegance,” Kaylene Peoples takes a look at how fashion mirrors the social climate and observes the trends of the 1930s during the Great Depression; and Fashion Archives collates those trends and current retro Art Deco styles.  838 Media Group interviews and photographs model Andrea Baresic, our April 2020 Ash Gupta’s Face of the Month.  Celebrity designer Angela Dean (DEANZIGN and Shaped by an Angel) talks about her career journey and the Black Design Collective.

As far as runway, from Madrid Fashion Week are collections from Olivia and Encinar.  Enjoy highlights from The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Cross Collection 2020 with images of singers Shania Twain, Meghan Trainor, and hosted by Tamron Hall with 26 celebrity models  including Paris Hilton, Heather Graham, Jeri Ryan, Roselyn Sanchez, and more.  Also in this issue is a recap of Elton John’s Oscar viewing party benefiting AIDs with a huge celebrity turn out. The Blue Jacket Fashion Show during New York Men’s Fashion Week 2020, bringing awareness to prostate cancer, has an A-List lineup with Dr. Oz, Bill Nye, Carson Kressley, and a host of others!
